David Ashby
It is with sadness that I report the death of David Ashby from cancer at the age of 42. He is survived by his wife, one child, (Jack 3), his parents and a sister. He lived in Los Altos California, northwest of San Jose. His Obituary follows:David Charles Ashby David Charles Ashby 42, of Los Altos, died Christmas day, 2005. After serving as a patent attorney for several companies he became a founding partner of IP Strategy Group in Cupertino. Not adverse to challenges he also worked at commercializing his own inventions, developed software that became the basis of IPDOX, the patent docketing system of IPSoft, Inc. of Half Moon Bay and started Halo®, a web hosting company. David loved games, inventing some of his own. He was a licensed pilot and in his teen years and he was an Eagle Scout. David was born in Bethesda, MD, July 16, 1963. He received an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Maryland and his law degree from the University of Baltimore. He is survived by his wife and son, Linda and Jack, his parents, Richard and Elizabeth Ashby, his sister, Ruth Strickland, and his grandfather, William Amend. A Memorial Service will be held at Jennings Pavilion, Holbrook-Palmer Park, 150 Watkins Ave, Atherton, on January 21, at 2:00 p.m. Because of David's love of the mountains and his fondness of children, his family is suggesting charitable contributions to the Sierra Club or the Ronald McDonald House in lieu of flowers. Lisa Marie Dennison (wife of David "Dino" Dennison)
On Monday, March 27, 2006, after a three and a half year battle with colon cancer, LISA MARIE DENNISON, of Rockville, MD. Beloved wife of David Dennison for 14 years; loving mother of Casey, Reece and Taylor; daughter of the late cardiologist Earl J. Kolb and his wife, Margaret. Also survived by her two brothers, four sisters and step-mother. Lisa grew up in Carmel, CA and moved to Washington, D.C. in 1984. Lisa was employed by Fresh Fields/Whole Foods from its inception in a variety of jobs. Memorial service will be held at the Dennison residence on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial trust fund for Lisa's three children, the CRT Memorial Trust Fund, c/o Merrill Lynch at 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 201, Rockville, MD 20852.
